Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data I collect through this website and my coaching services, why I collect it, and the rights you have over it. “I” and “me” means Ajay Cheema, a sole trader providing online personal training, nutrition and mindset coaching in the United Kingdom. You can contact me about anything in this policy at hello@ajaycheema.com.

What I collect

When you book a consultation I collect your name, email address and phone number, plus anything you choose to tell me about your goals, training history or health. If you go on to coaching, I also hold the information we exchange to run your programme — check-ins, measurements and progress notes.

Your payment card is handled entirely by Stripe, my payment provider. Card details are entered into Stripe’s secure form and never touch this website or my records — I hold only a reference to the saved card.

Why I collect it

I use your details to run your consultation and coaching (performance of our agreement): confirming bookings, sending reminders, delivering your programme and replying to your messages. Your card is saved at booking so that the holding deposit described in my terms can be charged if you miss a consultation or cancel late — I rely on legitimate interests for this, and the policy is shown to you before you book.

I never sell your data, and I don’t use it for third-party marketing.

Who I share it with

Your data is shared only with the services needed to run the business: Stripe (payments — see the Stripe privacy policy), my email delivery provider (booking confirmations and reminders), and my website hosting provider. If you opt in via the cookie banner, Google Analytics also receives statistics about how the site is used. Each acts under contract and cannot use your data for their own purposes.

How long I keep it

Booking records are anonymised automatically 24 months after your appointment — your name, email and phone number are removed. Coaching records are kept while you remain a client and deleted when no longer needed. Stripe retains transaction records for as long as financial regulations require.

Cookies

By default this site sets only essential cookies: those needed for the website to function, those set by Stripe during booking for secure payment and fraud prevention, and a cookie that remembers your cookie choice. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

If you choose “Accept analytics” on the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets first-party _ga cookies (expiring after up to 13 months) so I can see which pages are useful. Nothing is set until you accept, advertising features are switched off, and the data is not used for ads — see the Google privacy policy for how Google processes it. You can change your mind at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer; declining stops new analytics cookies, and existing ones can be deleted in your browser settings.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask me to correct or delete it, restrict or object to how it is used, or receive it in a portable format. Email hello@ajaycheema.com and I will respond within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
